If I hadn't turned to the dark side I never would have died as an evil man. But if I hadn't built another death star I never would have met my son. I never would have joined the dark side if the mother of my children hadn't died unexpectedly. But I also never would have gotten to wear that awesome black armor if I hadn't joined the dark side, so maybe it's not all bad. If the movies had been more consistent I would have been a ghost at the end of movie VI, hanging out with Yoda and Obiwan for all eternity.
