Extra essay assignment (for Quinta or Sexta classes)
Choose one of the three following essay prompts to respond to - (write a 5-paragraph essay, this extra essay may be used to raise the first test of the school year halfway to a 1, such as from 5 to 3, 4 or 3 to 2)
1) Most schools require students to read “old” texts such as ancient Greek tragedies or Shakespearian plays. Many students wonder why they should read these texts instead of more contemporary material. Make a case for or against the reading of classical literature at school.
2) Good habits improve our physical and emotional health. Select one of your good habits and write an essay persuading readers to make that habit a part of their lives.
3) What is your all-time favorite film and why? Write an essay persuading readers to watch that film.
